Evidence in the \(\Lambda K\) channel#

The 2026 PDG review of \(N\) and \(\Delta\) resonances assigns separate evidence ratings to the existence of each resonance and to its observation in individual decay channels. Table 80.1 gives the following ratings for the \(N^*\) states considered in the \(\Lambda K \pi\) model.

The channel-specific ratings indicate the strength of the evidence for observing a resonance in \(\Lambda K\); they are not branching fractions and do not determine the amplitude couplings. In particular, a high overall resonance status does not imply strong evidence in \(\Lambda K\). The ratings can therefore guide which resonances to test, but their couplings must remain free model parameters.
